Apple also confirmed that iOS 13 adoption has increased to 70 percent, and iPadOS 13 adoption has increased to 57 percent. The last reported adoption numbers are from October, wherein the iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 numbers were at 50 percent and 33 percent, respectively.

The move is being undertaken to so that Facebook can remove or restrict access to content, services or information if they determine that by doing so they can "avoid or mitigate adverse legal or regulatory impacts to Facebook."
