Asus launches Chromebook CM14 With MediaTek CPU in India, check specs, features and pricing

Asus unveiled its latest offering in the Indian market, the Asus Chromebook CM14. This sleek laptop boasts a MediaTek Kompanio processor and touts military-grade protection, ensuring durability for everyday use.

The device’s design features a metallic chassis and a 180-degree ‘lay-flat’ hinged display, facilitating easy content sharing and collaboration among users. Moreover, Asus claims a remarkable battery life of up to 15 hours on a single charge.

Asus Chromebook CM14: Specifications and features
Diving into the specifications, the Asus Chromebook CM14 sports a 14-inch full-HD anti-glare non-touch LCD screen with a 60Hz refresh rate, 220 nits brightness, and 16:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it is powered by a MediaTek Kompanio 520 CPU, coupled with an ARM Mali G52 MP2 GPU and 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The device comes pre-installed with Google’s Chrome OS and offers 128GB of eMMC onboard storage.

In terms of features, the Asus Chromebook CM14 includes a 720p webcam with a privacy shutter and an inbuilt Face AE feature. It also boasts an ergonomic spill-resistant keyboard and a touchpad supporting gesture input. Security features include face unlock, a Kensington nano security slot, and a Titan C security chip.

With a 42Wh 2-cell battery, the Chromebook supports 45W fast charging and features Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. It comes equipped with USB Type-C ports, a USB Type-A port, a 3.5mm 2-in-1 microphone/headphone jack, and a microSD card reader. The device measures 324.6mm x 226.7mm x 18.3mm and weighs 1.45kg.
